Fried Sesame – Tofu Strips

These fried sesame tofu strips are so delicious, and you just cannot stop eating them until they are all gone.  No leftovers here.  I made these the other night and before I knew it they were all gone.  Yum! Give them a try and do  let me know what you think!  Dip them in a sauce, eat alone or squeeze just a bit of fresh lemon on them!

What you will need.

  • 1 block extra firm tofu
  • Sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Low salt soy sauce
  • Olive Oil
  • Fresh lemon
  • Gently press a block of super firm tofu between too clean towels to remove excess water. 
  • Cut the tofu into long strips
  • In a medium size bowl whisk 2 tbsp of olive oil, 2 garlic cloves minced, 1 tsp of sesame oil, and 1 tbsp of low salt soy sauce. 
  • Dip tofu strips to coat all sides.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in fry pan
  • Cook tofu until crisp turning as needed
  • Add more oil as needed.
  • Let cool
  • squeeze fresh lemon on tofu strips and enjoy alone or with rice on the side.

    I don’t eat tofu that often, but that looks great! I’ll give it a try!
