Toes In The Sand Orangesicle Smoothie

Summer is right around the corner, so let’s celebrate with our toes in the sand and a Creamy Orangesicle Smoothie made with coconut milk, orange juice and other good for you ingredients! This is one of my many favorite smoothies because it is so refreshing and satisfying at the same time.

This creamy blend of Orange juice, banana’s  and vanilla will take you there!

In a Blender Combine until smooth and creamy:

1 cup Vanilla Coconut Milk  (soy, almond or low fat milk)

1 cup Orange Juice

1 scoop of Vanilla Protein

1/4 cup frozen pineapple chunks

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup ice cubes

Add more ice and or ingredients for desired creaminess and blend!

Makes two servings

Raspberry and Blueberry Vodka Punch

Oh for the love of berries! You’ve got to try this punch made with antioxidant super food blueberries and raspberries.  This is so easy to make and so much fun to drink!  Make up a batch, kick up your feet and enjoy the bursting with berry flavor of this refreshing punch!

Ingredients

1/2 cup blueberries

1/2 cup raspberries

1  lemon sliced

2 tbsp. sugar

1 cup of water

2 cups of sparkling water

6 oz of vodka

In a small sauce pan bring to a boil berries, water and sugar

Remove from heat and break up the berries with a spoon

Strain syrup  through mesh strainer into a large pitcher

Cool for 15 minutes

Add sparkling water

Add  vodka

Stir and add ice

Pour into glasses garnish with blueberries, raspberries and one slice of lemon.

Enjoy!

Tongue twister isn’t it?  This is my recipe for my  Very Berry Banana Blueberry Smoothie which is so berry berry delicious?  By the way did you know Blueberries are loaded with tons of vitamins and antioxidants? Yep healthy for you too! Enjoy!

Banana’s and Blueberries

IN A BLENDER COMBINE

  • 1/2 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen or fresh banana
  • 1 cup of ice cubes
  • 2 cups milk beverage such as almond, rice or soy
  • 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Blend until smooth add more ice if needed (taste test and add more milk, or berries if needed)

Toes In The Sand Lemony Pineapple Drink

This drink will have you dreaming of warm beaches and long sunsets!

  • Mix 3/4 glass of pineapple juice with 1/2 fresh squeezed lemon
    add crushed ice and a sprig of rosemary.
  • Vodka Optional!

Pina Colada Smoothie

I’ve got my toe’s in the sand and a Pina Colada in my hand just dreaming of warm days and long sunsets!  Why drink those commercial concoctions when you can easily make your own with or without the rum!  Mine is without the rum but I add 1/2 a scoop of protein powder.

In a blender combine

1 cup of pineapple

2 cups coconut beverage

1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)

1 tsp vanilla extract

Blend until smooth add more ice if needed

Stay Hydrated During the Holidays

Food fun and cocktails can dehydrate you, not to mention the calories.  Here is how you can stay hydrated and  keep calories at bay during the festive season. To make it fun and tasty fill a pitcher with filtered water, add sliced lemons and fill your cocktail glass with this wonderful beverage which will keep you going all day and night!
